Job Opening: Senior Cyber Security Consultant

About the Role

Are you an experienced cybersecurity professional who wants to make a real impact at leading organizations? As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant, you will become a strategic partner to our clients. You advise, guide, and help organizations grow to a higher level of maturity in information security.

You will work on-site with clients as well as remotely from home or the office, closely collaborating with colleagues from the Defenced Advisory Team. Thanks to your broad expertise and experience, you can easily switch between multiple engagements. You are given the space to take ownership, provide direction, and mentor colleagues.

What Will You Do?

In this role, you are responsible for designing, improving, and implementing security strategies. Your responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing security management systems, roadmaps, and policies.

• Advising C-level stakeholders on risks, compliance, and investment decisions.

• Working on-site with various clients to fully understand their security challenges.

• Managing multiple assignments simultaneously across different industries.

• Coaching medior and junior consultants within the team.

Who are you?

You are a driven and experienced security professional who thrives on complex challenges and stakeholder management. In addition, you bring:

• At least 7 years of experience as a security consultant or in a similar role.

• Strong affinity with and in-depth knowledge of the information security domain (including ISO 27001, NEN 7510, NIST CSF, NIS2, and DORA).

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.

• Strong analytical skills, persuasive communication, and the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to work regularly on-site with clients.

• A proactive, independent mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

• You feel at home in a dynamic environment and naturally take the lead.
